It all began…

In the Spring of 2017, when Kimberly B. Flores reached out to Tony McNally, Barbara Colón and Jonathan Bueno about her idea of starting a horror anthology web series, and “Happenings” was born. Over the next year and a half they worked on writing and filming the first season, bringing Benny Acevedo and Cristina Rodriguez on board as writers as well as directors/producers. However, before the first season premiered, it was decided to do a short thriller Christmas film, “A Very Special Christmas Gift”, which is currently in the film festival circuit and has already won some awards.

On January 1st 2019 “Happenings” Season 1 premiered with a lot of positive feedback. As the year continued, production of Season 2 began.

In March of 2020 the pandemic happened, halting production…

But that didn’t stop us. We continued to work on the company. Kimberly B. Flores decided to take the opportunity to rework the first season of “Happenings”, fixing the cuts, adding sound effects for atmosphere as well as changing most of the music and color correcting the images. We also reworked our short film “A Very Special Christmas Gift”, submitted it into some film festivals and our hard work paid off by winning a few awards.

In August 2020, Twist To The Story Productions, LLC was formed.

During the Halloween season of 2020, we released the reworked version of Happenings Season 1. In January 2021, we premiered Happenings Season 2 and received even more positive feedback. During the rest of the year, we worked on our short films “In Pieces” and “Lunch Time”.

In 2022 we have worked on a number of projects, including our shorts “Infestation”, “The Vanishing Shadow”, “Relics” and our award winning short horror film “Drained”. We are also excited to continue our 1 minute mobile horror anthology series “Moments In Horror”. Season 2 will premiere in September for the Halloween season.
